Brit Middot (Values Covenant)

Carmel Academy’s Brit Middot (Values Covenant) is an integral part of who we are as a school community, and reflects that we are all created in God’s image (b’tzelem elochim). Devised by Carmel Academy’s faculty and students, this covenant serves as a strong foundation for our school’s integrated values education and chesed (acts of kindness) programs.

The values set forth in our Brit Middot are: gratitude, truth and integrity, to learn and teach, responsibility, conflict resolution and loving kindness. These values are displayed prominently throughout our campus and are the overarching principles that guide how we act toward one another -- at Carmel, at home and in the world. Carmel’s Brit Middot is taught, discussed, acted upon and brought to life daily.
