About Carmel

Welcome

Welcome to the Carmel Academy, a private school serving Jewish students of all affiliations from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. Located on a 17-acre historic campus in the heart of Greenwich, Connecticut, Carmel Academy draws students from both Fairfield and Westchester Counties, as well as Riverdale and Manhattan.

Carmel Academy is accredited by the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools, and is recognized as a school of excellence and educational distinction by the organization.

At Carmel Academy we are committed to providing a superior private school education, infused with academic excellence, Jewish values, community responsibility and vibrant Jewish living. We honor each child's individuality with an exceptionally personalized education.

The academic excellence of our program is built on rigorous standards, highly-credentialed faculty, and a low student-to-faculty ratio. Our multi-disciplinary approach enables students to connect classroom learning to the world around them, thereby engaging students in relevant and intellectually challenging experiences. Our innovative dual curriculum brings the school’s vision to life by incorporating the highest national standards and integrating general and Judaic knowledge throughout the day. At Carmel Academy we emphasize our connection to our 3,000-year-old Jewish heritage while integrating the overarching principle of k’lal Yisrael – the unity of the Jewish people into every aspect of the learning experience.

We encourage you to visit so you can see our talented faculty and engaged students in action, and experience first-hand what makes a Carmel Academy education exceptional.
