Our Board and school leadership work tirelessly to secure fundraising and grant-based dollars to offset tuition expenses for our families. We are proud that our fundraising levels are higher than most schools of our size and maturity. We are thankful to our generous donors and families who stretch to donate and pay as much as they can to secure a Carmel Academy education for our students. Our confidential tuition assistance program considers financial wherewithal, the number of children in the school, and other financial obligations when reviewing tuition assistance applications.
Tuition assistance applications are reviewed fairly by a confidential Tuition Assistance committee in accordance with Carmel Academy’s tuition assistance policy as approved by the Board of Trustees. Families may be eligible for tuition assistance of up to a maximum of 50% of tuition. All applications are reviewed with the goal of allocating limited tuition assistance dollars based on genuine need. The Tuition Assistance Committee exercises great care, scrutiny, and sensitivity when examining requests and we ask our parent body to consider making tuition assistance requests in the same spirit. We utilize the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Application for all tuition assistance applications. FACTS is an independent company that is the national leader in financial aid assessment for independent schools. Tuition assistance applications are processed after a student’s admissions application is complete.
